Sylvester Stallone is set to reprise his role of Vietnam vet John Rambo, in the third sequel in the “Rambo” franchise. Stallone will also produce and direct the film based on his own script titled, “Rambo IV: In The Serpent’s Eye.” Production is tentatively slated for January in Thailand.

The next chapter finds Rambo recruited by a group of Christian human rights missionaries to protect them against pirates, during a humanitarian aid deliver to the persecuted Karen people of Burma. After some of the missionaries are taken prisoner by sadistic Burmese soldiers, Rambo gets a second impossible job: to assemble a team of mercenaries to rescue the surviving relief workers.

I've never been a HUGE fan of Rambo, so I'm not as excited about this one as I am Rocky, I guess the plot just doesn't gel with me.

I think the first one is a damn good movie, got a real brain to it and it's a product of it's time, had a lot to say about the culture of it's time and wants to be much more than a brainless action movie.

The second one is in my opinion one of the best action flicks ever made. I think the last 10 minutes has the most explosions I've ever seen in my life. I don't think it's still ever been beat. I swear those explosions just go on FOREVER. It's a really cool flick, I like it a lot.

The third one...eh...The kid is ridiculous, and it just goes WAY over the top at the end. It's more like the usual action movie stuff. And it doesn't help that he's helping out the people we're pretty much at war with right now...oops. It's a good action flick, but I just don't like it as much as the first two.

I'll wait and see what the trailers and stuff look like before I start paying any real attention to this.

Yes, I'll be seeing this on opening day.

I'm not proud.

Between this, Rocky and a new Die Hard, they sure are not letting 80's action/drama stars go out gracefully.

I am totally stoked for this. I don't care how bad Rambo 3 was or how horrible that subtitle is or really even how ridiculous the plot sounds I grew up watching First Blood and Rambo 2. Nothing can stop me from seeing this opening weekend. Well...except the grim reaper himself.

For a second I thought it read Serpents Egg and I had a brief glimmer of hope that the movie would be about Rambo going back in time to stop Hitler before he could solidify his power. He could join forces with Kung-Fu Carradine.

What's funny is that every single Rambo film was about one man against the odds...So much for that theme...

Whay's even funnier...He actually turned down a sequel to Cliffhanger...

This, hands down, is the funniest Stallone comedy.

Movies need to get more insane. I couldn't even think about seeing Rambo 3 or 4 or whatever it is based on the blurb.

Rambo going back in time to stop Hitler? Or George Washington? yeah, they would get my precious money.
