'sup Johnny? Has your disdain for Mr. Lee's work kept you away from this one? |

Nope, just got WAY behind on my book reading thanks to the out-of-country vacation and the time it took me to get through Creepy Crawls. Started Slither this morning.
Not too bad so far! |

Feels a bit like Monstrosity, with the excerpt I've read thus far.
I'll pick it up along with Laymon's The Cellar. _________________ Zombis Nazis gobiernan!

Coming from you that's high praise indeed. I already have it but I won't get to it until I finish Laymon's CELLAR. Hey, even if SLITHER sucks ass it'll be a worthwhile purchase just for that cover. |

| I started reading this yesterday. The first 100 pages very pretty damn good. Seems Lee actually did a lot of research for this one what with all the Latin terms and facts about worms thrown in. Some parts read like Michael Crichton except then Lee throws some redneck snuff sex comedy and worm tentcale rape at you and you know whom you're reading again. |

Just finished it. Fucking great! And what a twist, man! I'm down for a sequel...
I know Ed has said he wanted this to be like a fun Sci-Fi Channel movie. Well, it's better than that. You know how sometimes you read the plot summary for one their movies on their website and you think "Holy fuck! That sounds awesome!" Then you watch the movie and it looks like something filmed in a guy's overgrown backyard with computer effects done by a ten year old using Flash Animation.
No such disappointment with SLITHER. It fully delivers on its promise and then some. |

Yeah, Slither kicked ass all over the place! I'm a huge Ed Lee fan but I had my reservations going into this one; the premise didn't appeal to me. I wound up being pleasantly surprised. It felt like Jurassic Park on crack with worms instead of dinosaurs sprinkled with gallons of blood and sex to boot _________________ To find out more about Bitternest or my upcoming projects, visit www.alandraven.com |
