Ellis On Another Final Destination

Ellis directed the very badass traffic accident in FD 2Wow, it feels like a few years ago all over again this morning.

The Hollywood Reporter got word that David R. Ellis (Snakes on a Plane) will return to the Final Destination franchise for the fourth movie in the series for New Line, which they plan on shooting in 3-D.

New teens facing new death is how the trade puts it, but since both the second (which Ellis directed) and the third one were just more of the same, and the latter even featured the return of the guys who made the first, don’t expect anything groundbreaking in terms of storyline. I’m really surprised they dusted this franchise off, as well as the 3-D idea, which was being discussed for the third entry but never came to fruition.

We’ll keep an eye on it, of course, and let you know when we learn more!
