The Descent on DVD (click to see it bigger!)**UPDATED! Got a look at the very badass cover art thanks to Davis DVD!**

The news hounds over at Davis DVD have acquired the final specs for Lionsgate’s December 26th DVD release of Neil Marshall’s fantastic horror film The Descent, and I have to say they’re not too shabby.

Two versions will be available: a 99-minute “uncut” and 98-minute theatrical version, the latter of which will only be out in fullscreen (for all you posers out there). Features on both will include a commentary by director Neil Marshall and crew and another with Marshall and cast, some deleted and extended scenes, outtakes, a documentary on the making of the movie, an interview with Marshall, storyboard-to-scene comparisons, and some trailers.

Like I said; not too shabby. I’m honestly not sure what the differences are between this release and the UK one, which has been out for well over a year now, but suffice it to say Lionsgate is doing a good job loading ours with goodies. The Blu-Ray edition of the film will also be out the same day, for those of you who have jumped on that train. While we wait for some cover art to come our way, click here to pre-order the disc via Evilshop!
