This Hollow Sacrament on DVD!Just got another update from the folks at Unearthed Films, those degenerates who put out DVDs like City of Rott, Aftermath and Visions of Suffering, with updates on their catalogue both new and old.

First off, in case you missed it, TLA Releasing are now putting out Unearthed discs, getting the back catalogue on shelves like Black Sun: The Nanking Massacre and Ichi-1, which are in stores now. Pretty soon all their titles will be out amongst the hoards yet again, even the out of print stuff like Rubber’s Lover and Pinocchio 964. Good on them!

Their next new release will be This Hallowed Sacrament which, although it sounds like a direct-to-DVD title from Anchor Bay or Lionsgate, is actually a pretty well-reviewed indie film from Greg Stehcman. Sacrament is based on the true story of some girls who were killed in Northern California in the late 90’s, and follows a former soldier, now detective, as he tries to stop the killer from taking any more victims.

Footsteps on DVD!The flick hits DVD on November 27th, no features were mentioned in the press release, though.

Then on December 11th comes the very highly praised UK film Footsteps, which after looking into it I’m very surprised I’ve not heard of before.

The film follows the downward spiral of a man who looses his parents and is inconsolable from it. Believing everything he loves he will loose, he gets involved in all sorts of nefarious activities that eventually lead him to the underground world of snuff films. Fucked up shit ensues.

Keep your eyes here for more info on Unearthed Films’ upcoming slate, they’ve acquired a bunch of new horror films and I’m sure they’re all going to be sick as hell.
