New Orleans Gets a Superhero

Crime fighter to help out Katrina-ravaged New OrleansI just hope we learn a bit more about this title soon cause right now it sounds a bit on the silly side…

Daily Variety is reporting that Alcon Entertainment has nabbed the rights to Adam Torchia’s Strange Magic script, described by the trade as the story of “a supernatural crime fighter battling the occult in Katrina-ravaged New Orleans.”

Supernatural crime fighter, eh? I picture either a Constantine or Hellboy-esque character, though the crime-fighter title for some reason conjures images of a guy in tights and a cape. Probably an ingrained thing.

No word on a director for Strange Magic yet so stay tuned to learn more!
