The Living Dead … Sing?

They're coming to get you ... dododo dodo!Over the years we’ve seen a mix of good and bad come from George A. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead being in the public domain. There have been great DVD releases and particularly bad ones. There have been fantastic remakes and even a 3D version that managed to entertain, but are the Living Dead ready to sing?

Word came down today that Ain’t The Crackers Good Films is ready to unleash their version of Romero’s classic with a bit of a twist. Instead of your typical rehashing, this one is … wait for it … a musical! Why not? We already have Evil Dead and even Manos in that form; who would be hurt if Barbara, Ben and the gang all started high kicking and singing?

The movie’s synopsis remains exactly the same, but with just the obvious change. The trailer for the musical film doesn’t give us a feel for how or what types of songs will be placed, but it did stir up a few laughs and that’s always a good sign.

If you want to find out soon what this lyrical undead flick will be like film will be making its debut at 8 p.m. Saturday, October 27 at Rowan University’s Bozorth Auditorium, located in Glassboro, New Jersey. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free.

If you’re not in the area be sure to check out MySpace page instead for more images of the cast and promo pics.
