Netflix’s STRANGER THINGS 4 Restarts Filming This Month

After a six-month pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Netflix’s Stranger Things 4 is set to resume shooting later this month in Georgia on September 28th.

That said, let it be known that this date is tentative and subject to change due to the future of the COVID-19 pandemic. But we’ll keep you updated. Stay tuned.

Season 4 sees the return of series mainstays such as David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, and Winona Ryder.

Created by the Duffer Brothers, the series is inspired primarily by the works of Steven Spielberg, John Carpenter, and Stephen King and set in the 1980s in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana. The first season focused on the investigation into the disappearance of a young boy amid supernatural events occurring around the town, including the appearance of a girl with psychokinetic abilities.

The Duffer Brothers developed the series as a mix of investigative drama and supernatural horror, infusing it with references to the pop culture of that decade.

The third season was set in the days leading up to the Fourth of July in 1985 when a secret Soviet laboratory under the new Starcourt Mall seeks to open the gateway to the Upside Down, unleashing all-new evil entities into Hawkins.
