This Day in Horror History: Happy Birthday, Jennifer Tilly

On this day in horror history, Jennifer Ellen Chan aka Jennifer Tilly was born in Harbor City, California in 1958. Tilly is best known as Tiffany Valentine in the Child’s Play franchise and providing the voice of Bonnie Swanson on Family Guy.

Her first notable role was on the sitcom Shaping Up in 1984. She made her film debut the same year in No Small Affair. Tilly received an Oscar nomination for her role in Bullets over Broadway and further acclaim for the Wachowskis’ Bound.

Her other film appearances include The Fabulous Baker Boys, Made in America, The Getaway, House Arrest, Liar Liar, Music from Another Room, Stuart Little, Dancing at the Blue Iguana, The Cat’s Meow, The Haunted Mansion, and Tideland.

She also provided her voice to animated films such as Monsters, Inc.

The older sister of actress Meg Tilly (Psycho II), she is known for her distinctive voice and comedic timing. A World Series of Poker Ladies’ Event bracelet winner, Tilly holds the title of the first celebrity to win a World Series tournament.
