Looking for something new to binge? The Stand and The Shining author Stephen King recommends Ben Chanan’s mystery crime-drama series The Capture with Holliday Grainger, Callum Turner, and Ron Perlman.
He writes: “THE CAPTURE (Peacock): If you liked THE OUTSIDER, you will like this. Extra bonus points for Ron Perlman.”

The series was created, written and directed by Ben Chanan, and stars Holliday Grainger, Callum Turner, Laura Haddock, Ben Miles, Paul Ritter, and Ron Perlman. It premiered on BBC One in September 2019.
Set in present-day London, the series centers on Detective Inspector Rachel Carey, who is assigned to arrest and charge United Kingdom Special Forces Lance Corporal Shaun Emery (Turner), who is looking to clear his name of a horrific crime supposedly captured by CCTV.

The series sports a 92% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: Gripping to the very end, The Capture’s well-built tension culminates in a riveting revitalization of a tired genre.
