To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the release of Joe Dante’s Gremlins 2: The New Batch, SYFY WIRE is bringing together the stars of the movie for a special social media watch party on Monday, June 29th starting at 8 PM ET. Find all the deets below the film’s trailer and synopsis!
Synopsis:
The magical collectibles store that Gizmo calls home has just been destroyed, and the tiny monster finds his way into a newly erected skyscraper. Billy Peltzer (Zach Galligan) and his bride-to-be, Kate (Phoebe Cates), who have previously dealt with Gremlins run amok, discover that Gizmo and an impish legion of reptilian pals are inhabiting the downtown building. The couple tries to stop the creatures from escaping into New York City, but this new batch of beasts might be uncontrollable.

Who: Zach Galligan (Billy Peltzer) and Robert Picardo (Forster)!
What: Fans across the country are invited to watch the movie Gremlins 2: The New Batch in real-time with Galligan and Picardo, who will be answering questions on Twitter, dissecting iconic moments, sharing behind-the-scenes-factoids, and more. The watch party will be hosted by SYFY WIRES’ very own Jackie Jennings!
Where: The movie is available on Fandango Now or HBO Max. It is also available on iTunes, Amazon Prime, Google Play, and Vudu. Please note it is NOT airing on SYFY, so it must be streamed.
When: Everyone needs to hit play on their screens at the same time: Monday, June 29th at 8 PM EST.

Fun Fact: Fans can get in a gremlin state of mind all day leading up to the watch party as Galligan will be taking over the SYFY WIRE Instagram handle starting at 12:00 PM EST. Then, at 7:30 PM ET, Picardo will participate in a SYFYWIRE Instagram Live Q&A, hosted by Jackie Jennings.
