Films featuring inanimate objects capable of killing humans are a bit of crapshoot – people seemed to either love or hate Rubber without much in-between. How they’ll take to Drill Kills, about a reanimated construction worker’s drill, remains to be seen. Check out the flick’s trailer and let us know what you think.

The folks at Splatter Container clued us in to Drill Kills (Trapano Uccide), directed by Alessio De Nicola from a script written by Severino Iuliano with the great Sergio Stivaletti providing special effects. Valeria Perri and Eleonora Gnazi star in the English language film.

Synopsis:
John is a forty-year-old laborer with a wife and child in the Congo. One day, forced to work in inhumane conditions by a greedy real estate agent, John loses his life after falling from the roof of a house. Due to a dramatic coincidence, the drill that he was carrying falls on him with the tip sticking straight into his right eye. John dies, but his soul enters the drill, giving it life. His vengeance begins. This is “Drill Kills”.

Paying the price for this are three American students – Wendy, Rose, and Desirée. Their plan is to spend the summer studying Italian in Abruzzo, enroll the following year at the University in Italy, and in the meantime enjoy the lifestyle of the “Belpaese”. But it happens that the house placed among the vineyards and countryside, where John was working, is the one in which the three young women will spend the summer. It is, in fact, the house of Desirée’s maternal grandparents.
