Jason Reitman Already Working on GHOSTBUSTERS 4

Thank You For Smoking writer-director Jason Reitman’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife opens in theaters March 5, 2021. And during the recent Zoom reunion, Reitman teased that he is already working on a sequel.

He says: “I can’t tell you anything, but we are working on another installment. We have a little bit more time, and look, as a director, I’ve never had this opportunity to actually take a pause and breathe and look at the movie again. “We have a lot of time now. I’ve been spending my days editing Ghostbusters, so that’s where I’ve been.”

Watch the full reunion below.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife begins after being evicted from their home, two children and their single mother move to a farm inherited from their late grandfather. When the town experiences a series of unexplained earthquakes, the children discover their family’s link to the original Ghostbusters, who have become something of a myth as many have long-since forgotten the events of the “Manhattan Crossrip of 1984”, and the secret legacy that their grandfather left behind.

Written by Reitman and Gil Kenan (Monster House) it stars Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, and Paul Rudd, with Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, and Annie Potts.
