China Starts Searching for Aliens This September

China Tech City reports China starts searching for aliens later this September using FAST, The Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope. And if aliens are using similar radio technologies, FAST should be able to find them.

FAST began operating this past January after being constructed between 2011 and 2016. The chief scientist of Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI), Professor Zhang Tongjie, revealed “China Sky Eye” will launch a search for aliens… but he doesn’t think enthusiasts should get their hopes up.

I guess we’ll just have to wait till September to hear more. Stay tuned.
