SLiTHER: James Gunn Shares Never-Before-Seen Pics

Writer-director James Gunn’s classic horror-comedy Slither just celebrated its anniversary the other day. And Gunn himself took to Instagram, sharing some never-before-seen pics.
He writes: “14 years ago today my directorial debut Slither opened. It was not a hit (to say the least), but because of the great reviews & that so many of you folks loved it, it was the start of a great career for me. Just as importantly, I met many wonderful people making the film, who have remained close friends to this day. Here are some photos from that time – including some never-before-seen.”

The film takes place in Wheelsy, a small town where not much happens and everyone minds his own business. No one notices when evil slips in quietly but, when people find mutilated livestock and a woman goes missing, Sheriff Bill Pardy (Nathan Fillion) discovers an alien organism that threatens to devour all life on Earth.
Rated R for strong brutal violence, pervasive language, some drug content and sexuality/nudity, the movie sports an 86% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: A slimy, B-movie homage oozing with affection for low-budget horror films, Slither is creepy and funny — if you’ve got the stomach for it.
Slither was written and directed by James Gunn. Paul Brooks produced with Eric Newman. It starred Nathan Fillion, Elizabeth Banks, Gregg Henry, and Michael Rooker. Universal Pictures unleashed it back on March 31, 2006.
