Rest in Peace – Ed Warren

Ed Warren: Rest in PeaceThe world of paranormal investigation and ghost hunting lost one of its pioneers. Ed Warren, the founder of the New England Society for Psychic Research and arguably the father of modern paranormal investigation, passed away Wednesday after a lengthy bout with illness.

For more than fifty years, Ed and Lorraine Warren investigated more than 10,000 hauntings, bringing their evidence to believers and skeptics alike. He and his wife published nine books on subjects ranging from demonology to werewolves to ghost hunting. His use of scientific tools in the infant field of paranormal investigation brought it to a new light, giving it respect in many circles.

Perhaps most well known for his investigation of the famed Amityville Horror house, Ed always contended that he and the other members of NESPR were around for one reason only: to help other people. Ed will be sorely missed.

Our prayers and sincerest condolences go out to Ed’s family and friends.
