Scott Derrickson & Chris Evans Enter The Bermuda Triangle

As we all know good and well by this point in time, Sinister director Scott Derrickson has stepped away from Marvel’s first horror movie Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness.

But today we learned via Variety that he has found his new project in Skydance’s long-in-development Bermuda Trailangle movie, Bermuda with Chris Evans (Snowpiercer) set to star.

Derrickson and his writing partner C. Robert Cargill (Sinister, Doctor Strange) will rewrite the most recent version of the script which was penned by Spider-Man: Homecoming, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Ant-Man and the Wasp scribes Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.

Plot details are being kept under wraps, except for the fact that it will be set in the mysterious patch of the Caribbean where planes and ships have gone missing over the years.

Skydance has been developing the movie since 2013 with, ironically, The Evil Dead, Drag Me to Hell, and Doctor Strange 2 director Sam Raimi circling the director’s chair at one point.

While no studio is currently attached to the project, we do know that David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, Bonnie Curtis, and Julie Lynn will produce with Derrickson will also serving as exec producer.
