Gravewood High Channels Marble Hornets With ARG Before The Alpha Launches February 27th

I’ve been wondering we’d get more details about Gravewood High. I had never heard of it prior to their announcement earlier this month. I actually had to do some journalism for that piece, as there was almost no information available about the enigmatic new survival horror title. The story got a fair bit of traction. It seems that horror fans are eager to learn more. And oh man, does Gravewood High have more in store. First and foremost, you’ll be able to get your hands on the game soon. Starting February 27th, Gravewood High will be available to download in its Alpha state.

Open Alpha not enough? Well here’s something extra-cool. In preparation for the game’s first public release, the good folks over at Evil Corporation Games and Herocraft have put together a site that is slowly revealing Gravewood High‘s lore. Calling itself the Gravewood Files, it catalogs an ongoing investigation into the case of 8 missing students. Delving into the complex history is an investigation all its own. The site has audio files, bios on the missing students, and plenty of enigmatic pictures to squint at meaningfully.

In all seriousness, this could be a seriously badass rabbit hole if the devs keep it up. Despite obviously being a promotional site, every inch is packed with mysterious goodness. Each post has a series of comments that straddle the line between truth and fiction. If one of your comments actually prompts me to do a google search to see what else I find, you’re on the right track. It’s got that old Marble Hornets meta-quality that keeps you hunting for clues in every innocuous corner or the site. Don’t let your journey stop on the front page…

If you want to play Gravewood High in Alpha, head on over to the game’s site and sign up for the newsletter. While you’re at it, do yourself a favor and check out the Gravewood Files website. It’s always special when a developer puts this much love into their game, so show them some love in kind.
