Up in the Air and Thank You For Smoking director Jason Reitman’s new Ghostbusters flick starring Mckenna Grace, Finn Wolfhard, Carrie Coon, and Paul Rudd hits in July 2020.
And today Stranger Things actor Finn Wolfhard makes sure to let us know the flick will feature tons of practical effects. Specifically, he tells Kevin Smith on SMODCAST: “There’s a lot of practical effects. And a lot of the effects that you think would be CGI are not.”

Jason Reitman directs Ghostbusters 2020 from a screenplay he wrote along with Gil Kenan (Monster House) based on the original film written by Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ivan Reitman. Ivan Reitman produces and the film stars Mckenna Grace, Finn Wolfhard, Carrie Coon, Paul Rudd, Logan Kim, Celeste O’Connor, Oliver Cooper, and Bokeem Woodbine.

It will also see the return of original Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2 cast including Bill Murray as Peter Venkman, Dan Aykroyd as Raymond Stantz, Ernie Hudson as Winston Zeddemore, Sigourney Weaver as Dana Barrett, and Annie Potts as Janine Melnitz.
Ghostbusters 2020 aka Ghostbusters 3 aka Ghostbusters: Afterlife is scheduled to be released in the United States via Sony Pictures Releasing on July 10, 2020.
