Video: FoundFlix Names Most Anticipated Horror Movies of 2020

What horror movies are you most looking forward to seeing in 2020?

Regular readers of Dread Central know we’re huge fans of the YouTube videos produced by FoundFlix. Their most recent offering is a rundown of some of the most anticipated horror movies of 2020. The Grudge (Released January 3rd)

Synopsis:
A detective investigates a murder scene that has a connection to a case that her new partner handled in the past. The killings occurred in a haunted house that passes on a ghostly curse to those who dare enter it. Soon, the curse spreads to a terminally ill woman and her husband, and another unsuspecting couple who were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Underwater (Releasing January 10th)

Synopsis:
Mysterious creatures terrorize crew members aboard a research station located seven miles below the surface of the ocean.

The Turning (Releasing January 24th)

Synopsis:
A young governess is hired by a man who has become responsible for his young nephew and niece after the deaths of their parents. A modern take on Henry James’ novella The Turn of the Screw.

Gretel & Hansel (Releasing January 31st)

Synopsis:
A girl and her younger brother unwittingly stumble upon the house of an evil witch in the dark woods.

The Lodge (Releasing February 7th)

Synopsis:
A soon-to-be stepmom is snowed in with her fiancé’s two children at a remote holiday village. Just as relations begin to thaw between the trio, some strange and frightening events take place.

Fantasy Island (Releasing February 14th)

Synopsis:
The enigmatic Mr Roarke makes the secret dreams of his lucky guests come true at a luxurious but remote tropical resort, but when the fantasies turn into nightmares, the guests have to solve the island’s mystery in order to escape with their lives.

Brahms: The Boy II (Releasing February 21st)

Synopsis:
When a young family moves to the Heelshire’s residence, terror strikes when a boy from the family discovers a doll called Brahms that appears to be eerily human.

The Invisible Man (Releasing February 28th)

Synopsis:
When Cecilia’s abusive ex takes his own life and leaves her his fortune, she suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of coincidences turn lethal, Cecilia works to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see.

A Quiet Place II (Releasing March 20th)

Synopsis:
A successful author finds herself in a horrifying reality and must figure out the mystery behind it before it is too late.

Saw (Releasing May 15th)

Synopsis:
The film will serve as the ninth installment in the Saw franchise. The film is directed by Darren Lynn Bousman, from a screenplay by Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger, based on a story by Chris Rock.

Candyman (Releasing June 12th)

Synopsis:
A “spiritual sequel” to the 1992 horror film ‘Candyman’ that returns to the now-gentrified Chicago neighborhood where the legend began.

Last Night in Soho (Releasing September 25th)

Synopsis:
Last Night in Soho is an upcoming psychological horror film directed by Edgar Wright and written by Wright and Krysty Wilson-Cairns. It stars Thomasin McKenzie, Anya Taylor-Joy, Matt Smith, Diana Rigg, and Terence Stamp. It is scheduled to be released on 25 September 2020, by Focus Features.

The Witches (Releasing October 9th)

Synopsis:
The Witches follows a 7-year-old boy who has a run in with real-life witches.

Halloween Kills (Releasing October 16th)

Synopsis:
Halloween Kills is an upcoming American slasher film directed by David Gordon Green and written by Green, Danny McBride and Scott Teems. It is a sequel to 2018’s Halloween and the twelfth installment in the Halloween franchise.

Godzilla vs Kong (Releasing November 20th)

Synopsis:
