Trailer: A CHRISTMAS CAROL Gets Scary with Guy Pearce & Andy Serkis

I know that the last thing this world needs is another adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol – but stick with me here. What about a horror version from Tom Hardy (Venom) and Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight starring Guy Pearce (Prometheus) and Andy Serkis (The Lord of the Rings)?

Sounds good, right?

Well, if today’s trailer is any indication, I think we’re all in for a horror-filled Christmas treat. Don’t believe me? Go ahead and check out the trailer for yourself below.

The FX Original Movie is described as a spine-tingling immersion into Ebenezer Scrooge’s dark night of the soul.

For those who might need a bit more, here is the book’s rundown via Amazon: A bitter old miser named Ebenezer Scrooge experiences a transformation resulting from a supernatural visit by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmases Past, Present and Yet to Come.

The dark reimagining of the classic tale is produced by FX Productions in association with the BBC, Scott Free and Tom Hardy’s Hardy Son & Baker.

Again, I don’t know about you but I’m digging the hell out of this spooky-ass version of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. And on a side note, it seems that Hardy only produces this new version and will not lend it his acting talents. Unless that is supposed to be a surprise…
