Collective Gets Disgusting

It’s not often you wake up in the morning, check the trades like you’ve done everyday for years, and see the name of one of the genre’s biggest sites right there on the virtual front page of Variety.
All right, in truth that never happens, but there’s a first time for everything.
Daily Variety is reporting that the management/production firm The Collective has scooped up Bloody-Disgusting.com, which the company will utilize as a means to identify new talent as well as a promotional tool for their future projects.
The team who has made the site as huge as it is, admittedly getting massive traffic numbers, will stay in place, and further enhance their presence online. One can’t help but wonder about potential conflicts of interest down the road, but I doubt deals would’ve been signed without freedom in place.
So congrats to the B-D team on the good news; we wish them the best of luck!
