Sigourney Weaver Confirmed for Jason Reitman’s GHOSTBUSTERS Project

Despite Jason Reitman’s initial promise that his upcoming Ghostbusters project would be reuniting the surviving members of the original team, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Ernie Hudson are not confirmed to be participating at the time of this article. One of the original film’s main characters, however, is now officially coming back into the fold.

Today brings word that Sigourney Weaver will be reprising the role of Dana Barrett. Parade broke the news.
Synopsis:
A family moves back home to a small town where they learn more about who they are.
Jason Reitman’s Ghostbusters will star Mckenna Grace and Finn Wolfhard, though the bulk of the cast is yet to be retained. The film is eyeing a July 10th, 2020 release date.
