Warner Brothers Has Hidden Horrors on Its Agenda

Germs, super germs, and super duper germs will no doubt be the cause of the extinction of the human race, and while we all wait patiently for the end to come, enterprising filmmakers continue to mine the apocalypse genre for all that it’s worth.

According to Variety Warner Bros. Pictures has purchased the spec script Hidden from twin brothers and recent college graduates Matt and Ross Duffer, who are also set to direct the film that the studio is committed to starting as early as 2012.

The project is an elevated horror-thriller (there’s that ridiculous term for a movie light on gore and heavy on atmosphere again) about a family hiding in a bomb shelter after escaping a mysterious outbreak.

Roy Lee, Mason Novick and Lawrence Grey will produce, while John Middleton and Sebastian Aloi will executive produce. More as it comes.
