Horror on the Auction Block

How often do you go to cons and spend way too much money on stuff you just have to have, taking the word from the seller that its authentic? Probably more often than you’d like. So how about spending some cash for a legit piece of horror authenticity and helping out a worthy cause at the same time?

I’m feeling warm fuzzies already.

Hollywood Roadshow has partnered with Premiere Props and Super Auctions to auction off some very cool pieces of horror movie memorabilia on Saturday, October 20th at the Boneyard Haunted House in Arlington, TX. If you’re able to go to the auction, which kicks off at 11am, you’ll be able to tour the haunted house when you’re done, too. Nice!

Some of the props/memorabilia they’ll have up for auction include;

  • John Cusack’s screen-worn costume from 1408
  • Jungle Julia’s “Austin Hot 505 Wax” shirt from Grindhouse
  • Burt Gummer’s screen-worn shades from Tremors 3
  • Michael Myer’s “soiled” coveralls from Rob Zombie’s Halloween
  • Tons of other stuff will be up, too; that’s a very small list to give you an idea of what will be there.

    All the proceeds from the show will benefit Special Olympics, so you won’t have any reason for buyer’s remorse at the end of the day because you know you’ve done something good while indulging your geekiness. What more could you ask for!?!
