Though Halloween III: Season of the Witch was a critical and box office flop in 1982, it’s amassed an enviable cult following in the decades since its release. Though considered the black sheep of the Halloween franchise, Season of the Witch has enjoyed a surge in popularity, especially in the past few years.
While Blumhouse recently gifted us with a direct sequel to John Carpenter’s original Halloween, released in 1978, we’ll probably never get an official continuation of the Myers-less saga of the Silver Shamrock mask company. Fortunately, we’ve just set our eyes on a fan-made short sequel that give the legend new life!
Return of the Witch is written and directed by Brandon Tobatto; it stars Shanna Ammons, Brandon Tobatto, Stephen Hughey, and Brent Wolfram. Give it a spin below, followed by the trailer and synopsis for 2018’s Halloween. Enjoy!
Synopsis:
After finally coming to terms with the fact that his family’s legacy has been forever tarnished by the events of Halloween 1982, Connor Cochran, grandson of Conal Cochran and heir to the ‘Silver Shamrock’ company, has decided to re-emerge from the shadows and rid the world of the stigma it has placed upon his family name. With this new ‘Shamrock Unlimited’ brand looming over the nation, will Connor Cochran right the wrongs of his grandfather… or FINISH what Conal Cochran started all those years ago?
Synopsis:
It’s been 40 years since Laurie Strode survived a vicious attack from crazed killer Michael Myers on Halloween night. Locked up in an institution, Myers manages to escape when his bus transfer goes horribly wrong. Laurie now faces a terrifying showdown when the masked madman returns to Haddonfield, Ill. — but this time, she’s ready for him.
