HALLOWEEN Already Franchise’s Highest Grossing Entry

Blumhouse and director David Gordon Green’s direct sequel to John Carpenter’s Halloween made a killing this past weekend, scoring a massive  $77.5 million.

And with this huge number, Blumhouse’s Halloween is already the highest grossing entry in the series, besting Rob Zombie’s remake, which scored a total of $58 million back in 2007.

Here’s the full breakdown:

  • 1. Halloween (2018) – $77.5 million
  • 2. Halloween (2007) – $58.2 million
  • 3. Halloween: H20 – $55.04 million
  • 4. Halloween – $47.0 million
  • 5. Halloween II (2009) – $33.3 million
  • 6. Halloween: Resurrection – $30.3 million
  • 7. Halloween II – $25.5 million
  • 8. Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers – $17.7 million
  • 9. Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers – $15.1 million
  • 10. Halloween III: Season of the Witch – $14.4 million
  • 11. Halloween 5 – $11.6 million

For the record, John Carpenter’s original, when adjusted for inflation, comes to $180 million total. But that’s not how this works.
