How Much $$$ Did HALLOWEEN Make This Weekend?

Well, the final numbers are in. So just how much cash did Blumhouse and director David Gordon Green’s direct sequel to John Carpenter’s Halloween make this past weekend?

Fucking tons.

The film opened with a killer $77.5 million, making it the second largest October opening weekend of all-time, coming in less than $3 million behind Tom Hardy’s Venom. The film’s opening was the second largest ever for an R-rated horror, behind IT, which snagged $123.4 million last September.

Internationally, Halloween brought in an estimated $14.3 million for a World Wide opening weekend of $91.8 million.

The $10 million sequel earned a “B+” CinemaScore and played to a crowd that was 53% male and 59% were age 25 or older. The film should play well over the coming weeks, with Halloween coming up and all.
