Exclusive FAMILY OF FEAR Clip Shows How Haunted Houses Test Props

The world of haunts has gotten a lot of attention lately, both in narrative and non-narrative worlds. In the former, you’ve got films like Hell Fest, Blood Fest, and Dread Central Presents own Extremity. In the latter, you’ve got Jon Schnitzer’s incredible film Haunters: The Art of the Scare. Each of these has come within the past year or two, making the world of haunted attractions exciting and fascinating to a whole new generation.

Today, we want to tell you about another documentary that will be hitting iTunes on October 23 by the name of Family of Fear. The film follows the people behind Arx Mortis, a haunt in Killen, Alabama, and we’ve got an exclusive clip of them checking out and testing various props and practical FX gadgets that will take their haunt to the next level. Check it out above!

Family of Fear follows an eclectic group of artists and “spooks” as they build and work in one of the country’s scariest haunted house attractions – the 50,000 square foot Arx Mortis Haunted Attraction in Killen, Alabama.

Family of Fear was directed by Stephen Lackey, who produced alongside Zach Martin.
