First Pic from The Cottage

I know you probably don’t remember The Cottage right off the bat, every time I hear the title I have to be reminded of why it’s relevant to us horror fans, but then I’ve done a lot of drugs… Sony’s got their hands on it for US distro (“Sony Enters The Cottage” – May 2007) but we had to go to the UK to find the first pic from it.
To the right is said image, courtesy of the official Pathe Films site. As you may recall the film stars both Andy Serkis (King Kong, Lord of the Rings trilogy) and Doug Bradley (leave if you don’t know who that is) in a tale about a kidnapping gone horribly wrong.
Three brothers are hoping to get a handsome ransom for the return of a mob boss’s daughter, not understanding that she’s a hellcat and won’t go easily. She escapes their grasp and holes up in a farmhouse in the middle of nowhere, not knowing that it is home to The Farmer, a massive, bloodthirsty serial killer who’s just been waiting for fresh meat.
No word on when Sony will release The Cottage here in the States, but as soon as we hear more we’ll let you know!
