IT: CHAPTER TWO – Let’s Meet the Adult Losers Club!

Now we’re not strangers, are we?

Director Andy Muschietti is hard at work filming his follow-up to the hit Stephen King adaptation IT. The new film is, obviously, one of the most anticipated horror films of not only 2019, but of all time.

We already know that the upcoming sequel will replace the original young Losers Club with adult counterparts, and we have been reporting on these casting choices over the past few months. But now that it seems all of the parts have been cast, all of us here at Dread Central thought it would be a good idea to introduce the new cast to you in one catch-all article.

Here we will let you guys know who is playing who and where you may have seen them before. All of that out of the way, let’s meet the adult Losers Club!

Jessica Chastain – Beverly Marsh

Sophia Lillis played young Beverly in the original film, but this time Beverly will be played by Jessica Chastain. Chastain is one of the most recognizable faces in the new cast so we don’t need to make a big stink about her. But for those who might not know, Chastain is famous for starring in Molly’s Game, Miss Sloane, The Huntsman: Winter’s War, Crimson Peak, The Martian, A Most Violent Year, Interstellar, Mama, Zero Dark Thirty, Lawless, The Help, The Tree of Life, and Take Shelter. She can be seen next along with co-star McAvoy in X-Men: Dark Phoenix.

What you know her from: Mama and/or Crimson Peak

James McAvoy – Bill Denbrough

Jaeden Lieberher played young stuttering Bill in the original film, but in this sequel, Bill will be portrayed by none other than James McAvoy. Like Chastain from the above entry, McAvoy doesn’t need much of an introduction, but all the same, here we go. McAvoy is best known for starring in such films as Split, Atomic Blonde, X-Men: Apocalypse, Victor Frankenstein, X-Men: Days of Future Past, Filth, X-Men: First Class, Wanted, Atonement, The Last King of Scotland, and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. He can be seen next in X-Men: Dark Phoenix along with co-star Jessica Chastain and M. Night Shyamalan’s Split sequel Glass.

What you know him from: Split, X-Men: First Class, Wanted

Bill Hader – Richie Tozier

Finn Wolfhard played young Richie in Stephen King’s IT and now the part will be played by yet another funny dude you know from TV, Bill Hader. Hader is best known for SNL, Barry, Power Rangers, Trainwreck, The Skeleton Twins, Paul, Tropic Thunder, Pineapple Express, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Superbad, Hot Rod, and Knocked Up.

What you know him from: SNL, Every comedy movie of the past 10 years

Andy Bean – Stanley Uris

Wyatt Oleff played young Stanley in the original film and Andy Bean takes over in this new entry. Bean is perhaps the least known actor in the bunch (which is kinda fitting considering Stan’s arch in this sequel) but all the same, you might know the man from roles in such TV shows and movies as Here and Now, Transformers: The Last Knight, Power, and Allegiant.

What you know him from: IT: Chapter Two casting announcements

James Ransone – Eddie Kaspbrak

Jack Dylan Grazer play young Eddie in Chapter One and James Ransone is taking over the inhaler and fannypack for this sequel. Ransone you may know from such movies as Family Blood, In a Valley of Violence, Sinister, Sinister 2, Tangerine, Kristy, Old Boy, Empire State, Red Hook Summer, The Son of No One, The Next Three Days, Generation Kill, Prom Night, Fame, A Dirty Shame, and Ken Park. Or TV shows like The Wire, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Treme, Jericho, Law & Order, Hawaii Five-O, or Bosch.

What you know him from: Sinister and Sinister 2

Isaiah Mustafa – Mike Hanlon

Young Mike was played by Chosen Jacobs in last year’s film, and this time around the timid sheep killer will be played by Isaiah Mustafa. You may know him from such movies as The Island and Horrible Bosses, or TV shows like Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments, Baby Daddy, Chuck, Hot in Cleveland, Castle, Days of Our Lives, NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS, and Ugly Betty.

What you know him from: Those Old Spice commercials

Jay Ryan – Ben Hanscom

Finally, we’re getting to the actors you may not have heard of before the casting announcements for IT: Chapter Two. And let’s begin with Ray Ryan as Ben Hanscom. Chubby little Ben was portrayed by Jeremy Ray Taylor in the original movie. Ryan is an actor best known for his TV roles including Fighting Season, Mary Kills People, Beauty and the Beast, Top of the Lake, Terra Nova, Legend of the Seeker, The Tribe, Xena: Warrior Princess, and Fallen Angel.

What you know him from: Top of the Lake and/or Terra Nova

Teach Grant – Henry Bowers

Taking over the role of psycho killer bully Henry Bowers from Nicholas Hamilton, Teach Grant is a go-to baddie you may have seen in Altered Carbon, Braven, Van Helsing, iZombie, Zoo, Dead Rising: Endgame, Once Upon a Time, Lucifer, The Flash, Supernatural, Leprechaun: Origins, The Tall Man, Fringe, Psych, The Andromeda Strain, Masters of Horror (Sick Girl), or The Dead Zone.

What you know him from: Altered Carbon, Lucifer, Supernatural, Leprechaun: Origins, The Tall Man, or Masters of Horror (Sick Girl)

Jess Weixler – Audra Phillips

Jess Weixler will be playing adult Bill’s wife Audra Phillips in the new movie, a role that was played by Olivia Hussey (Black Christmas) in the original 1990 ABC miniseries. You may know Weixler from her roles in such movies and TV shows as The Son, The Good Wife, Law & Order, Medium, Everwood, Hack, or Guiding Light. But you 100% know her from the vagina dentata horror flick Teeth.

What you know her from: Teeth, Teeth, and Teeth.

Xavier Dolan – Adrian Mellon

Xavier Dolan was recently cast as the controversial character Adrian Mellon in the upcoming IT: Chapter Two. Mellon is a controversial character in that he’s a gay man that kicks off the modern day storyline by getting beaten by a group of homophobes in Derry and then eaten by Pennywise. Dolan is an actor from a healthy number of films, but you probably know him best as the son of the unfortunate family that gets it shotgun-style at the beginning of Pascal Laugier’s Martyrs.

What you know him from: Martyrs

Will Beinbrink – Tom Rogan

Will Beinnrink will be joining this upcoming sequel in the role of adult Beverly Marsh’s abusive husband Tom Rogan. Rogan was originally played in the 1990 miniseries by Michael Ryan. Beinbrink is an actor you might recognize for roles in such projects as Two-Sentence Horror Stories, Queen of the South, Nashville, I Saw the Light, Jane the Virgin, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, There Will Be Blood, Dallas, Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, Cellular, and more. He usually played quick side characters in these projects so don’t be surprised if he isn’t instantly recognizable.
