Harrelson’s Carnage Only Has a Small Role in VENOM Starring Tom Hardy

Two months back we let you guys know that there was a rumor floating around that Woody Harrelson was going to be playing Carnage in Marvel’s upcoming R-rated adaptation of Venom starring Tom Hardy.

Carnage creator David Michelinie responded to the casting choice over on Facebook saying, “Harrelson’s a good actor and has a decent range. He’s played nutso characters in the past, but I guess we’ll have to wait until October to see just how far he can ramp it up. Fingers crossed.”

And today we have word that whether or not Harrelson is playing Carnage or not, his role will be fairly small – at least this time around.

I’m in a little fraction of this movie,” Harrelson told Collider. “But I’ll be in the next one, you know? So I haven’t read that script, but anyway, just rolled the dice.”

This makes me think that Harrelson’s Carnage will be an ending teaser. What do you think? Make sure to hit us up and let us know in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!

Directed by Ruben Fleischer, Venom stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, and Reid Scott. It infects theaters on October 5th.
