Hereditary Gets Horrific New Trailer… and Etsy Page?

Last week we shared an all-new poster for writer-director Ari Aster’s Hereditary starring Toni Collette, Gabriel Byrne, and Ann Dowd AKA The Scariest Movie Josh Has Ever Seen.

You can check out that poster to the right, and if it isn’t enough to keep you interested in the film until it hits this June then today’s all-new trailer just might do the trick.

The new trailer is called “Charlie” and it introduces the youngest member of the Graham family, a girl with a penchant for arts and crafts that will haunt your nightmares. Not only that, but you can visit Charlie’s creations over on Etsy… which is one of the most interesting bits of marketing I have seen in quite some time.

I’m not going to lie and say that I’ve seen the trailer below because I haven’t. I want to go to the theater this June knowing as little as I can about the film. That said, feel free to check it out yourself below and then make sure to hit us up and let us know what you think in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!

Hereditary is written and directed by Ari Aster and stars Toni Collette, Gabriel Byrne, Ann Dowd, Milly Shapiro, and Alex Wolff with Kevin Scott Frakes, Lars Knudsen, and Buddy Patrick producing. The film hits theaters nationwide on June 8th.

Synopsis:

When Ellen, the matriarch of the Graham family, passes away, her daughter’s family begins to unravel cryptic and increasingly terrifying secrets about their ancestry. The more they discover, the more they find themselves trying to outrun the sinister fate they seem to have inherited. Making his feature debut, writer-director Ari Aster unleashes a nightmare vision of a domestic breakdown that exhibits the craft and precision of a nascent auteur, transforming a familial tragedy into something ominous and deeply disquieting, and pushing the horror movie into chilling new terrain with its shattering portrait of heritage.
