Shield Creator to Run Oaks

Though we can’t say for sure how strong the horror elements in “The Oaks” will be, I have to admit the idea of the show is pretty intriguing. Apparently new Fox Entertainment president Kevin Reilly agrees with me, one of the many things he and I have in common.
”The Oaks” is billed as a relationship drama with supernatural elements, as if relationships weren’t scary enough on their own. It focuses on three sets of couples living in the same haunted house during three time periods; 1967, 1987 and 2007. All three stories are connected by the ghosts that inhabit the house, and chances are they all help one another in some way.
The show is the brainchild of scribe David Schulner, who will write the first few episodes, with “The Shield” creator Shawn Ryan (pictured with “Shield” star Michael Chiklis) to act as show runner on “The Oaks”, which means he will handle all the day-to-day tasks of making sure the show is done on time and on budget. We’ll keep an eye on this one and feed you more as we get it!
