Tim Curry’s Pennywise Design Is in the New Adaptation of IT

The latest trailer for the upcoming adaptation of Stephen King’s IT came out earlier today and is being recognized as making the movie one of the most anticipated horror flicks this year! For those who are eagle-eyed viewers, you’re probably already scouring every frame to see if there’s some cool little homage or nod to any other King films.

However, one that might have snuck past you – due to it being during a very fast-moving sequence – is the appearance of a clown that looks exactly like Tim Curry’s Pennywise design from the original miniseries! In the trailer you can see it in the final sequence, when Finn Wolfhard’s Richie Tozier enters a room that’s full of clown designs only to be chased by Bill Skarsgård’s Pennywise. If you look to the left, you’ll see Curry’s design in the background. I’ve snagged a photo for you to see below.
