Searchlight Gets Near Death

Fox Searchlight is moving on a new project from Carter Blanchard, who wrote a few episodes of the underrated show “Good Vs. Evil” as well as The Immortals for Universal Pictures, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film is called Near Death and is described as a psychological thriller set in the world of, you guessed it, near death experiences. Aaron Kaplan and Sean Perrone will produce, the same duo behind the horror pic Knowing and New Line’s Dead Asleep.
Near death experiences are almost always treated lightly in movies, so I really hope this one has some balls. Let’s let some things follow a person’s spirit back to our world from another dimension and cause havoc; or how about a near death experience where, instead of the person seeing a bright white light, they see the fiery pits of hell? That’s what I’m talking about!
