David Slade Still Wants to Board The Last Voyage of the Demeter

Now that The Twilight Saga is well behind him and he’s looking ahead to the future, we thought for sure that director David Slade’s next project would be the much talked about The Last Voyage of the Demeter. But then that blind pest Daredevil came into the picture, and we’ve all been left wondering: Will the Dracula tale ever set sail?
According to David Slade on Twitter: “Noomi Rapace and Ben Kingsley want to do it, so do I.” Well … that’s better than saying the ship has sailed without him, no? Stay tuned for more.
The script, written by Season of the Witch‘s Bragi Schut over a decade ago, places the ship’s voyage center stage in a story that (much like the original Alien) will illustrate for viewers what happens when a not-so-human passenger slaughters its transporters one-by-one.
