Uncovered Super 8 Website Home to Interactive Trailer

You have got to give the good folks over at Paramount credit. They sure can be sneaky. Yet another piece of the Super 8 mystery has fallen into place in the form of an interactive trailer that’s home to what’s being called “archival footage“.
The good folks over at Cinema Blend noticed a frame of film in the recently released trailer that was home to a hidden area on the main Super 8 website. See the frame below.
If you notice you’ll see plain as day the url for S8EditingRoom.com.

“The very nicely designed site eventually takes you to an archival film that’s mostly just missing clips, except for a few brief glimpses of scientists in white coats, conducting experiments on… well something. Basically all you can hear is “even more surprising were their biological attributes, most remarkably…” Given that the kids who star in Super 8 seem to be encountering some kind of alien being escaped from a lab, it’s likely what we’re seeing is the scientists investigating the alien life forms. “
Pretty nifty find, and kudos to the eagle eye out there who pointed it out!
Directed by J.J. Abrams from his original script, the Amblin Entertainment and Bad Robot Production film is produced by Steven Spielberg, Abrams, and Bryan Burk.

Synopsis
In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth – something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined.
