Coming off the great start to Alter Bridge’s latest release, AB III, the band will be streaming LIVE this coming Monday, December 20th, at 1pm EST/10am PST, and to celebrate, the fine folks at Total Assault are offering two lucky Dread Central readers a copy of the CD, just in time for the holidays!
Alter Bridge is comprised of Myles Kennedy – Vocals, Guitar (who recently performed and co-wrote two songs on Slash’s solo record and fronts his touring band) along with former Creed members Mark Tremonti – Guitar; Brian Marshall – Bass; and Scott Phillips – Drums. The band’s the first two albums were based on themes immersed in hope and perseverance in the face of adversity; however, with regard to AB III, Kennedy states, “This record is definitely a departure from the last two albums in terms of its subject matter. It touches on the thoughts and emotions of someone who has come to question everything that was once regarded as an absolute truth. It’s the realization that everything you once believed in might not exist.”
“We went into the process of putting the record together with a lot of confidence,” Tremonti reveals, “but we didn’t go into it looking to be commercial or to have radio singles. We just wanted this to be an album that pleased us artistically, through and through.”
