Supernatural’s Misha Collins is a Real Angel Performing Random Acts

We don’t often pick out specific charities to promote here on Dread Central, but we’re big fans of “Supernatural” and one of its stars, Misha Collins, who portrays the angel Castiel. When we caught wind of a charity Misha has formed called “Random Acts”, we thought we’d pass along the info and let you decide for yourselves whether or not to get involved.
Misha’s first project is to raise money to help build three orphanages in Haiti as well as raising funds for the victims of the flood in Pakistan. In addition, he’s getting people to start doing random acts of kindness to others around the world. Here’s the “Random Acts” Mission Statement:
1. At Random Acts, our mission is to conquer the world one random act of kindness at a time. I know! Pretty great, right? We’ve already begun, too. Check out our YouTube channel for videos of the acts we got up to this summer. We’ve been busy!
2. To kick off our new initiative and fundraising campaign: Misha’s Run. As you can see, Misha has been busy too. He’s been instrumental in providing us with our overall direction. He participated in our New Jersey acts this summer and is now going to help us raise funds to do more random acts. We have also expanded our priorities to include assisting three orphanages in Haiti and the flood relief efforts in Pakistan. On September 5, Misha will run as far as he can and asks us to pledge whatever we can to support these causes.
