Hall’s Records Becomes Scratch

Robert Hall's 6 Records becomes Old ScratchMan, it takes a long time to get a film made, and it seems like the time is usually doubled when it’s a horror project.

For example, we first reported on Robert (Lightning Bug [review here]) Hall’s second feature, 6 Records, back in 2005. Now we’re almost halfway through 2007 and finally getting an update on it.

Upcoming Horror Movies found out recently that the film has undergone a title change, from 6 Records to Old Scratch, and that production is set to begin sometime this year, though nothing official’s been said yet. Still, the poster you can see here is a pretty good indication that it’s finally happening.

As is the Old Scratch official site that’s recently been updated. The goal of the film, says Hall, is to create a psychological horror movie similar to Memento, though with more scares. The plot deals with a man who journeys through his past searching for answers by playing his old records backwards. I wonder if that’d work…
