The Vampire Diaries Webclips: Let the Right One In; Synopses for Eps. 18 and 19

We’ve always thought it was clever how both The Vampire Diaries and its sister (or maybe that should be brother) show on The CW, Supernatural, borrow their episode titles from well-known songs and movies, and this week is no exception although some purists in the crowd might be a little put off by TVD‘s Ep. 17: “Let the Right One In”. Trust us, though; Williamson & crew haven’t let us down yet, and we doubt they will here either.
The CW has provided two webclips from “LTROI” along with the promo trailer, but first here’s the synopsis:
When Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) make a dangerous new enemy, Stefan suddenly finds himself in a perilous situation. Damon and Elena (Nina Dobrev) try to convince Alaric (Matt Davis) to work with them to help Stefan. Matt (Zach Roerig) is hopeful that his mom, Kelly (guest star Melinda Clarke), may be back to stay. After her car breaks down in a storm, Caroline (Candice Accola) make a horrific discovery that shocks everyone in town. Dennis Smith directed the episode with teleplay by Julie Plec and story by Brian Young.
In addition, we have early synopses for Episode 18 (airing 4/15/10), “Under Control”, and Episode 19 (airing 4/22/10), “Miss Mystic Falls”. “Under Control” should be of particular interest as it’s our first look at guest star David Anders.
#18: Stefan tries to control his new situation; Jeremy and Elena receive a surprise visit from their uncle (Anders); an incident at a party causes trouble between Tyler and Matt.
#19: At the Founder’s Day Gala, Elena and Caroline compete for the title of “Miss Mystic Falls” against other girls from town, including Tina Fell and Amber Bradley. Elena is happy to have Bonnie back in town, but Bonnie still has issues to work through. John Gilbert attempts to intimidate Damon, but his plan doesn’t have the desired effect. Damon discovers that Stefan is hiding a dangerous secret that could impact everyone in town.
