Lionsgate to Unleash Blood Trails

Good news has come down from a very reliable source today that the UK hit Blood Trails, which shared the audience award at the latest Dead by Dawn festival with Adam Mason’s Broken, has landed a distribution deal in both the U.S. and the UK through the one and only Lionsgate.
No specifics are out yet, but we do know that Lionsgate will release it in the first quarter of 2007. In the meantime the film is still making its way across various festivals, gearing up for an eight-city tour throughout Germany via the Fantasy Filmfest 2006, and will have its U.S. premiere at Austin’s Fantastic Fest this September 21st-28th.
Blood Trails, in case you’ve forgotten, is the story of a bike messenger who has an ill-advised one-night stand with a stranger named Chris. Chris doesn’t like rejection, it seems, and is more than willing to make her life a living hell as punishment. Nasty. Keep it here for more as we learn it!
