The Crazies Gets Pushed to 2010

If, like most of us here at Dread Central, you’ve been looking forward to The Crazies reboot, unfortunately we’re all going to have to wait a little longer than original anticipated.
The word just came down from Overture Films that the official release date is now February 26, 2010. A reinvention loosely based upon the George Romero classic of the same name, The Crazies is about the inhabitants of a small Iowa town suddenly plagued by insanity and then death after a mysterious toxin contaminates their water supply.
If you missed it, check out Nomad’s report from The Crazies set down in Georgia. We’ll have interviews up from his set visit shortly. In the meantime, I’ll just busy myself with thoughts of Timothy Olyphant and how he drives women like me crazy in other ways besides contamination.
