Me? I dug The Strangers. It lost some steam during the second and third acts, but overall it totally did its thing. So much so that sequel talk is a hot subject right now, and there’s one director out there who’s a front-runner for the gig.
Our brothers in harm at Bloody Disgusting got the exclusive word today that French director Laurent Briet is in final talks to take the director’s chair for Rogue Pictures’ The Strangers 2
If Briet (who worked on the visual effects for The Ring) becomes official, he will be working from a script penned by creator Bryan Bertino. Early word reports that the setting of the film will be a trailer park (Christ, don’t give Rob Zombie any ideas please).
