It’s no secret we’re big fans of the classics here at Dread Central, and few images are as iconic as that of Elsa Lanchester as The Bride of Frankenstein. If you’re also a fan of the actress and this beloved character, then read on for the details of the “It’s Alive Project,” a Blacksparrow auction presented by Mucklebones LLC that celebrates Ms. Lanchester/The Bride by showcasing 80 life-size busts plus 9 life-size statues, each created by a different artist.
These incredible one-of-a-kind art pieces were crafted by some of the most talented and well-known artists in the entertainment, special effects, and monster-making industries. Each piece was created by the artist in his or her own vision, style, and hand. You will be amazed and frightened by what can happen when these talented artists unleash their creative monsters on this unique and terrifying project. Check out a few samples below.
Bidding for the online-only auction will begin on Wednesday, June 3rd, and run until Saturday, June 27th. Proceeds will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and registration is available now by visiting BlacksparrowAuctions.com.
