On Sunday, October 25th, the ninth annual Screamfest Horror Film Festival Awards were held at Level 3 at the Hollywood & Highland Complex in Hollywood.

This scribe hit the black carpet of Screamfest LA’s premiere of Tyler Oliver’s flick Forget Me Not last night in Hollywood, CA, and interviewed beau of Rumer (Sorority Row) Willis and actor Michah Alberti regarding his role in the same.

The results are in from the recently concluded Sitges Film Festival, which ran from October 1st-12th in Catalonia, Spain, and Duncan Jones' hauntingly beautiful Moon (review here) left its competition in the dust.

For those of you who weren't in Austin, TX from September 23-30, you missed out. Fantastic Fest lived up to its name and presented some of the newest, most anticipated, and best films of the year. From the comfort and coolness of the Alamo Drafthouse (which serves AWESOME food during movies) to the palatial Paramount Theater, Austin showed that it knows how to treat fans of genre films.

Filmmaker Robert Beaucage’s feature film Spike (which won "Best of the Fest" at 2008’s Edinburgh International Film Festival) is set to have its West Coast premiere on Saturday, October 3, at 3:30 pm as part of Shriekfest 2009.
