While at New York Comic Con this past weekend, which made the wise decision to move from February to April this year but is going back to February for next year, I hit up the Magnolia/Magnet booth

I’ve only been to Toronto once, but man, someday I will make it back there. Not only is it one of the coolest cities north of the Border, it’s also home to Rue Morgue and the Toronto After Dark Film Festival. Why can’t Boston be that cool?

From April 23rd to May 4th the Tribeca Film Festival once again takes hold of New York City, presenting films from across the globe in a wide range of flavors to suit every taste. Of course, you of the greatest of taste are on Dread Central, so you bark back, “Hey, Nomad!

I’ve never been to Philadelphia, despite the fact that I’ve been on the East Coast for almost a decade now, but if I were to make my first trip, this year’s Philadelphia International Film Festival would be a damn fine way to start.

I’ve been in Boston for a few years now, but for some reason it seems like I always find out about the cool stuff going down here too late. Well no more! I’m keeping tabs on things in my town now, and because of that I found out that the Boston Underground Film Festival just unleashed this year’s screening schedule.

Oh, man, never thought I’d actually want to live closer to Brussels, of all places, but this year’s lineup for the Brusesls International Fantastic Film Festival is pretty damn tasty!

Yesterday we got official word from Warnrer Bros that Raw Feed entry Otis would be making its premiere at this year’s South by Southwest festival, running March 7th-15th. But Otis is just one of many new horror entries making their debut, as we found out today when the official lineup was announced.

Honestly, traveling to Utah has never crossed my mind for any reason. It's just hard to have a passing thought of, "Hey! I should go to Utah because..." That was until STYD released a list of 11 horror and thriller movies that will be shown at next year's Sundance Film Festival.

No reason to beat around the proverbial bush; LA’s Screamfest (October 12th-20th) has announced their lineup of badass horror for 2007, and you can check it out below! While we’re still waiting for the full schedule to make itself known to the world, the folks behind Screamfest LA are letting some info slip here and there regarding the upcoming festival. For fans of movies that look like they’re going to kick ass, which I count myself among, they just announced a special advance screening of David Slade’s 30 Days of Night on October 16th, three days prior to its theatrical release!
