Evil Dead 2 Getting a Groovy New Board Game

Whether it’s movies, comic books, video games, musicals, or critically acclaimed TV shows, the Evil Dead franchise is the gift that keeps on giving – and we can’t get enough! If “Ash vs. Evil Dead” taught the world anything, it’s that horror fans never want Ash’s war with the Deadites to end.
But since we’re being forced to wait impatiently for Season 2 of the Starz series, the announcement of a brand new board game based on Evil Dead 2 should come as welcome news.
The project comes courtesy of Space Goat Publishing in conjunction with Studiocanal. They will be launching a Kickstarter campaign in the coming weeks to fund it, and you can keep track of it by signing up for updates via their website (evildead2boardgames.com). Synopsis:
Featuring at least 8 custom figures and art depicting the terrifying and iconic characters, monsters, and locales from the film, the official Evil Dead 2 Board Game is the tabletop experience for Evil Dead 2 fans. Two to six players will work together in 60- to 90-minute sessions to gather pages of the Ex-Mortis while trying to survive demon attacks and supernatural events and avoid turning into evil Deadites themselves.
The deluxe edition features exclusive figures of Ash Williams, Deadite Henrietta, and a box based on the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis, the Book of the Dead.
This sounds like a perfect way to spend an evening with the family if the power blows out one dark, stormy evening. Plus it’s a board game based on Evil Dead 2. If that doesn’t get your heart racing, then I don’t know what will. This is a treat for fans of the series and a more interactive way for us to live out our dream of being as badass as Ash Williams.
