While a lot of fans were less than thrilled with the way that The Lost Boys: The Tribe turned out after so many years of talk, there was at one time a completely different script that handled the continuation of the much beloved story in a completely different fashion. Curious? Well, now you can read it!
We've all been pretty excited to see Eric Red's tale of ghostly revenge 100 Feet, and now we can finally tell you how to do it and what to expect.
A while back we reported that Eric Red’s first directorial effort in many years, 100 Feet, would be making its debut on the Sci-Fi Channel this spring instead of getting the theatrical release it more than likely deserves.
While we patiently wait for the Sci Fi Channel debut (groan) of Eric Red’s 100 Feet, UK fans will be getting it directly on DVD come March 2nd, 2009, courtesy of DNC Entertainment.
With the minor exception of Neil Marshall’s Dog Soldiers, a film making its premiere on the Sci Fi Channel is never a good sign. So I have to say I’m concerned that Eric Red’s return to horror, 100 Feet, has been resigned to that fate.
We missed this little Halloween treat yesterday but, as you can see by the amount of stories we did, it was about the only thing we missed. Man yesterday was nuts!
We all know by now that Jack Ketchum’s Offspring is the latest adaptation of the man’s work to come to the big screen. It’s in post production now and from what I’ve heard is looking pretty good. But what about the book’s prequel, The Off Season (review)? Well, that’s been having some rights issues that may be straightened out soon.
Those crazy bastards over at Arrow in the Head apparently don’t think a new trailer and poster are good enough for you guys. No, instead they got two new posters and a slew of trailers for Eric Red’s upcoming feature 100 Feet.
Eric Red just announced via his MySpace page that his return to directing, the ghost story 100 Feet, has been chosen as an official entry in this year’s Austin Film Festival!
**UPDATE: A ton of pics have just been added to the WoH gallery, so be sure to check it out!**
During the Weekend of Horrors this past weekend, Eric Red (pictured with John Fallon), screenwriter of The Hitcher and Near Dark and director of Body Parts and Bad Moon, took part in a Q&A to discuss his upcoming film, 100 Feet, which is still settling on a distribution deal. Once the film is out, he’s poised to return to the sub-genre he kicked so much ass with in Near Dark with a new vampire film called Nightlife.
Our friends over at AITH just scored the special flyer created for the Cannes appearance of Eric Red’s ghost tale 100 Feet. Click on the teaser to your right to see the whole thing!
Sick of remakes as much as we are? God, I hope so. For that reason alone we’re looking forward to Eric Red’s 100 Feet. The story helps a lot as well; yeah, this one can’t come soon enough.
A brand new promo reel for Eric Red’s 100 Feet, which stars Famke Jensen as a woman sentenced to house arrest after killing her husband, unaware that his vengeful ghost is haunting the place, has shown up over at Arrow in the Head! I really can’t wait for this one, and this trailer only cements that anticipation. This sucker looks like it’s going to rock!
